Marion Holland papers, 1956-1963.

The collection comprises corrected typescripts and galley proofs, sketches in pencil (some with notes), illustrations in pencil and crayon, crayon, ink (some with notes), watercolor, and a study in pastels. In addition,dummys (some with pencil sketches), with corrected portions of galley, and with typescripts are included in the collection along with page proofs, and a pasteup dummy with photostats of illustrations.

Marion Holland was born in Washington, DC in 1908. She graduated from Swarthmore College, married and had children. Her career was as an author and illustrator of children's books.
